Marketing your home 101

How do you attract buyers to your home?

We know from a survey conducted in 2022 by the National Association of Realtors that 51% of buyers found their home on the internet, followed by 29% being recommended by their realtor. So online presence and realtors play a big role in buyers seeing and purchasing their next home.  That is why we spend so much time, energy, and money marketing online and to other realtors.

Before you start thinking that all you need to do is advertise your home on Zillow, think again!

The MLS – the #1 place to list your home

While you can absolutely upload your listing to popular sites like Zillow, Trulia, Hotpads, Realtor, there is another online source that unfortunately only agents and their clients have access to. And since 89% of buyers purchased their homes through a real estate agent, you want to make sure you’re advertising where agents and their clients are looking.

This is called the Multiple Listings Service (MLS) and it is by far the number 1 source buyers and their agents use to look for listings. In fact, it reaches over 3,000 real estate professionals in NWA

The power of high quality photos and videos

There is of course so much that goes into marketing: professional photos, home website landing page, staging consult with an interior designer, Facebook ads, video tour, floor plan, advertising to other agents, labels, yard signs…in fact, Blackstone & Co. spends about $500 on each of our client’s marketing – we pay for your marketing!

We’ve actually been able to sell homes that had previously expired on the market just by improving the quality of visuals posted on the MLS and other websites.
