Myth #1: Hiring an agent is expensive.

False. In most situations, it’s actually the seller that pays the commission for both the listing and buyer’s agent. The sellers usually pay the listing agent 6%, who then gives the buyer’s agent 3% of their commission. And you get an amazing service that is (typically) paid by the seller! Confused? Myth #2: I have no legal protection against a bad agent.

False. A buyer’s agent represents the buyer in the transaction. This means that the buyer agents’ primary duty is to protect and promote the interests of the buyer. We protect your confidential information such as your real estate needs or motivations, the highest price you are willing to offer, negotiating strategies or tactics, or financial situation.

Myth #3: It’s my realtor’s job to only send me listings that are from their company.
